Toddlers Group At Bamford Chapel and Norden URC
Aims:
To allow Toddlers to grow and learn through play in a safe environment
To help parents and carers have fun and enjoy time with their children in a relaxed atmosphere
To provide time for parents and carers to chat and exchange knowledge
To ensure parents and carers do not feel isolated and lonely
The Toddlers Group is a thriving activity which has played an essential role for the babies, toddlers, parents and carers of our community for some 25 years.
Tuesday mornings are set aside for energetic playtime, craft, messy play and music and story time allowing the children to socialise, play and grow in a safe environment with family close by.
While the toddlers learn through play, in a happy and friendly atmosphere, our parents and carers enjoy comfortable surroundings, a chat and a time of relaxation over coffee with the occasional biscuit (cream cake) or toast on the side! The Toddlers are provided with a selection of fruit and/or biscuits with juice and are always supervised by their parent or carer
The Group gives parents and carers a chance to relax and exchange ideas and information and brings a supportive atmosphere where lonely or isolated parents and carers are always made welcome.
In 2004 our Toddlers Group received a special winners certificate from ‘Netmums’ along with a winners badge and gold listing on the Netmums.com site,
The Netmums awards are the Parenting Oscars – so we are absolutely delighted to have won. It’s an award for everyone involved in our Toddlers Group, from our volunteer helpers to the parents and carers – and of course not forgetting the children. We try to make the group the best it can be and are so please to have been recognized for all our work not forgetting all those who have been involved in running the Group since its conception 25 years ago”
